Bonus day off

21 September - Cotton Fields Marina Manchester

We woke to showers and then rain, a talk with Janet and Celia from next door and a rain day was declared. We de-plasticized both props, by the look of both this is the floating plastic capital of the system.
Not a bad spot to waste another day, it is very peaceful here considering we are in the city
After lunch, when rain had stopped, we walked to Aldi and did a shop, had dinner on the boat and drinks with the girls next door. we agreed that not moving had been the right idea and tomorrow should be better.
Back on board and in bed by 9pm - hard life this boating
Our noisy neighbours

We have now done 128 days of canal boating

TOTAL TO DATE is 1037 miles, 700 locks, 116 movable bridges, 221 small aqueducts, 27 tunnels, 10 major aqueducts

It will take us 14 days at a leisurely cruise to return to Sheffield so that is good timing for us, we have a month left, so we can afford days off along the way -very handy. When we get to Leeds side we shall catch up with family again and we may sneak up to York, decisions decisions.
