23 July - Weedon to Blisworth Mill Bridge
Vicki went off early to do a vital shop and then return the Rental Car.At 9.30am we said a sad farewell to Jim and Moosie at the boatyard and cruised off down the GU.
Good people.
Our home for the last 3 days, very handy for storing a car in
We stopped for water at the water point and had a hours chat with the couple on the other tap and off we went, we moved on till lunchtime when we stopped and had a snack and a break, while we were stopped we rang the marina at Limehouse to sort our trip up the tidal Thames maybe the most daunting part of the trip, we are booked for early am on the 8th of next month.
That done we moved on to our overnight mooring at Blisworth mill stopping at 2 30, [well it was a hard day] .
Have not figured out what this crop is yet
Some interesting looking boats along the way
Pete spots a digger anywhere, I just love the old building definitely a farm here you can smell it
That way to London, last time we went that way we were on one of these trains
At 4.00 Vicki announced she was going to the pub for 1 drink, we walked to the village pub, most of the trip was uphill, to the Royal Oak, For a Thursday avo it was quite busy with a friendly bunch of locals and the Landlady Maxine who looked after us like old mates. Plus it was uphill, did I mention that bit.
Blisworth Mill now apartments
Pete thinks he is getting all the vegetables he needs
Needless to say we got back to the boat at 7.30 fully refreshed !!!!!!!!!! As a village pub 10/10
We move on tomorrow.
