Resting at Stanley Ferry

4th October - A whole weekend off

Up late, very very late and Pete did nothing all day. Watched Italy and Ireland game and we ate on the boat. We have 48 hours moorings.
I went for a stroll to look at the aqueduct which is a trough suspended from  two-pin cast iron arches, similar to Sydney Harbour bridge but predates it by a 100 years. Nearly 7000 tons of Bramley fall stone and 1000 tons of cast iron were used in its construction.
Below our 48 hour moorings which we have done a few bonus days on due to rain

TOTAL - 0 miles and bugger all done

5 October - Stanley Ferry, another rest day

We had another rest day due to rain. Janet returned to Albert and we had a visit from Steve (cousin). Vicki went for a drive to the supermarket with Steve for essentials. 2 loads of washing done, boat clean and vacuum, engine run for batteries. Heating on for clothes drying. (Boating is no different from home you have to do chores sometime).
In the afternoon we had a visit from Janet who is happy to be back on board and has a plans to appear to be constant cruiser until Celia returns. We shall head off to Castleford tomorrow and need water fill before we go.

TOTAL - 0 miles, 2 loads of washing, cleaning and shopping
