Ashby canal Limekiln bridge to Hartshill moorings

29 August - Back to the Coventry Canal

Up and about and Rental Car returned. We moved across to the water point and filled up and then cruised the 5 miles back to the Coventry canal at Marston Junction where we turned right.

We wandered along to Nuneaton where we stopped for lunch and blog publishing. After that we moved on past allotments, houses, farms, boatyards, the Tardis,[ yes that's right the Tardis, no sign of the Doctor though he must have been off saving the planet].
We cruised on to Hartshill yard moorings, a set of very attractive buildings with a cafe and blacksmiths shop and moored for the night at 4 pm.

And later in the evening what a spectacular sunset, it just kept getting better and better.

TOTAL - 11 miles, 0 lock, 1 spectacular sunset  - below our route for the day
