Paddington Arm Basin

4 August - day of rest

Up at the normal time with boats moving past from around the corner, Breakfast blog, shower and dishes and we then moved further in to Basin behind the Hospital on to a non Spa pool mooring.
Last nights view and I went to check out around corner. View today
Vicki went for a walk and Pete relaxed on the boat. She returned with Sushi for lunch and we had a lazy afternoon. I walked down to Tesco's at about 4 and stocked up the beer and then sampled one.

A lot of new development in Paddington

Left the canal and headed inland, didn't take many photo's
 St Mary's Church

Around 6 Vicki's 3rd cousin (on her mothers side) Eliza and with her partner Troy arrived, they are both from Wainuiomata but met here. Eliza has been here for 8 years now and they are thinking of a return home next year.
Eliza and I obviously have the same Smith height. Great chance to catch up with her. Her dad visited me while I lived in London through the 80s
Eliza & Troy a lovely couple hope we catch up again before we leave.

We entertained them on the boat and then walked over to Ryath a local Indian restaurant for dinner   https://www.zomato.com/london/ryath-indian-tandoori-paddington. Great service and good food 7/10. We said goodbye and were back on board at 10 30, much quieter mooring and less foot traffic going by. It would be much different if a Royal birth was happening because this is where the Paparazzi hang out during those events.
 Heading back to boat

TOTAL - 0 miles, 0 locks, 2 relaxed boaters, 1 Indian dinner, catch up with family and walk around Paddington area
