Gibraltar Bridge to Heyford Common Lock

19 August - A domestic day running through pretty countryside

Set off at 10 am after housework and did 2 loads of washing as we went along - one done before we even left. That done we stopped for a water refill at the Heyford water point and moved a bit further and stopped for lunch on a rail mooring.

Peter rabbit shooting people on the water point
The temperature was dropping and as we moved on light rain started, the big tractors in the wheat fields had stopped harvesting and we soon stopped ourselves in harder rain and tied up for the night just passed Heyford common lock.
Chinese laundry for the day, have figured out how to dry sheets by pegging to window

 Our view for night

TOTAL - 5 locks, 7 miles, 2 lift bridge, 2 loads of washing and water fill
